1. Tape the two sections of the body pattern together in the middle lining up broken lines and sides. Follow grain lines on pattern to line up scale direction along body length. Have lengthwise centre lined up with design feature of your fabric. Use the pattern to cut the body (in one piece) and two legs from dragon skin fabric. The head section is large to allow for fitting and shaping around the dimensional skull. Sections will be trimmed to fit the skull.
2. Using foil, make oval-shaped form narrower than width of body section, slightly pointed at each end and flat on the bottom. Cover the foil with plastic wrap which is taped in place to prevent fabric from sticking to the foil. Coat the backside of the rounded section of body fabric with thin coat of white glue. Form the fabric around the foil shape and secure with another piece of foil, plastic wrap or floral tape.
